Julie Eggen, Karleanne Rogers, Linda Haglund, and Ann Wylam pictured above took first place for the low net score, becoming the first women’s team to win the Chip! for Teeth golf tournament. Way to go ladies!
Participants enjoyed breakfast, sponsored by Willamette Dental and warmed up their “sticks” at the Chip Driving Range, sponsored by Columbia Community Bank. Following play on the course, everyone enjoyed hamburgers and chicken at the luncheon and awards ceremony, generously sponsored by ODS.
“Given the tough economy we were delighted with the turnout and support from our players and sponsors,” said DFO board president, Dr. Patrick Nearing. “Everyone had a great time and the funds raised here today will help us serve more low-income children with free dental care.”
Over $7,500 in prizes, generously donated by companies and individuals, were presented to players and raffle holders during the luncheon. Linda Haglund won the $1,000 KP competition, sponsored by Consani Seims, as well as the Women’s Long Drive. (I want her on my team next year!)
